TMC Unveils Star Campaigners and Candidates for Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has revealed its star campaigners and candidates for Phase-1 of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, showcasing a formidable lineup including Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, party leader Abhishek Banerjee, and former cricketer Yusuf Pathan.

The party's list of 40-star campaigners emphasises key figures like Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, and Yusuf Pathan, underscoring the party's strength and strategy for the elections. Notably, the TMC also expressed its intention to treat the first list of star campaigners as applicable for the remaining phases unless a follow-up list is provided within the stipulated timeframe.

Earlier in March, TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee unveiled 42 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, showcasing the party's resolve to contest independently. This decision was symbolically reinforced by including former cricketers like Yusuf Pathan and Kirti Azad in key constituencies.

Abhishek Banerjee himself will contest from the Diamond Harbour constituency, while the party has retained Mahua Moitra for Krishnanagar, among other nominations. Mukut Mani Adhikari, who recently switched from BJP to TMC, has been nominated from Ranaghat, highlighting the party's diverse candidate pool.

TMC's message is clear - under Mamata Banerjee's leadership, the party stands committed to representing the common people against perceived central government neglect. With the elections set to begin on April 19 and end on June 1, Bengal's voters are gearing up for a significant electoral process, with the TMC positioning itself as the people's choice against established political entities.
